Fragmented Coalesce
Fragmented Coalesce is a site specific, cross-site collaborative performance project by Rohan Morris & Rachel Kendrigan developed for the Mildura Palimpsest Biennale #10 in 2015.
The project explores themes of identity and relationship to place through an unfolding, process based work, dependent on each of the two artists participating in ‘cross residencies’. Each artist selected three sites within our current residing location with which we have an embodied spatial connection, and invite the other to engage in a ‘performative conversation’ in response to the landscape, materials, space, and each other.
The artists worked across two sites- Mildura and Hobart- exploring themes of identity and relationship to place.
The body of work produced included a six channel video installation, six prints and a catalogue exhibited at Penny Contemporary in Hobart and MIM Gallery in Mildura.
Thank you to all who donated to our Pozible campaign! Thanks to you and the Art Tasmania Crowbar program, Fragmented Coalesce was 111% funded!
